Electricity prices are across India have been withnessing an upword trends in last few years. Per unit price for an industrial customers by more than 45% for commercial by more than 20%  and for an industrial customers 35% in last 5 years. Rates are going to continue to rise, driven by steep increase in demand, rising fuel cost (Coal and Diesel) and an urgent need of increasing generation capacity and grid infrastructure.
